  10. Oklahoma to the City

The Rural area often seemed, where freedom danced. Nature was able to spread wild, animals played and the Sun seemed happier. Gentlemen often greeted one another with a slight tilt of the chin and took pride in opening a door for a woman. The food would taste as if they were harvested from the souls of the people who prepared it. Fresh sweet potato's hand picked by children and converted into mouth watering pie's, often sent an aroma of Hope.

I now live under buildings. Often reaching for my pocket for change thinking I can make a change for a fragile man with a tin can. Greeting brothas with a slight chin, reflected back is often slight grins. Constantly hearing motor's, cry's from the mentally insane, protest from the benevolent, helicopter's in sky's and every other noise possible. Im going Insane. Human's dressed in suits who instead of getting natural light from the sun, schedule appointments for sun tans. They've forgotten how to dance. Sometimes I wish I could go to that rural area, where freedom danced.

    Dedicated to Oklahoma
